Maiden meeting of preparatory parliamentary group’s out to start

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine A. Parubiy convenes the first meeting of a preparatory parliamentary group of newly elected Ukrainian parliamentarians.

The meeting is to be held on Friday, August 9, 2019, at 2 pm in the conference hall (Hrushevskoho Street, 5, Kyiv).

As per the law, political parties to have overcome the five percent barrier are only allowed to delegate their representatives to the said preparatory group, namely:

·        The People’s Servant – 17;

·        The Opposition Platform – For Life – 3;

·        The All-Ukrainian Association/Union “Batkivshchyna (Motherland) – 2;

·        European Solidarity Party – 2;

·        Holos – 1.

Self-nominees (unaffiliated candidates) may also delegate to the preparatory group as much as one representative per 15 deputies by submitting a duly signed written proposal.
