‘Ask the Government’ hour

( Information Department of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat )

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy informed that the members of the Cabinet of Ministers, headed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman, were taking part in the meeting.

The hour began.

The Chairman gave the floor to the Minister of Justice Pavlo Petrenko, who reported on new legislative acts and governmental initiatives aimed at protecting the rights of children. The minister remarked that the Ukrainian parliament showed a systematic attitude to many changes in the country. He reminded that recently a very important bill concerning protection of the rights of Ukrainian children had been adopted by the Verkhovna Rada. The official informed about the new government initiatives, stressing they all would be aimed at creating a strong Ukrainian family where protection of the children’s rights and their proper education would be in focus to the parents.

P. Petrenko called on parliamentarians to adopt next week three important laws concerning, too, protection of children.

The Prime Minister and the members of the Government answered the questions from the floor.

The hour ended.
