Three committees are today in focus:

Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement

The bill alters the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine with regard to the deadline for a prosecutor’s procedural decision, stiffened to 72 hours under a pre-trial inquiry. The draft bill also amends the law on public prosecutor's office of Ukraine by setting a prosecutor’s inactivity among causes subject to disciplinary liability.

Committee on Foreign Affairs

The delegation headed by Hanna Hopko, the Ukrainian committee’s head, teams up five Ukrainian parliamentarians from the core subcommittees and departments. The first day brought a meeting with the Knesset’s highest officials, where the parties talked over future strengthening of the interrelations on governmental and parliamentary levels, investments promotion, exchanges of the current experiences between Ukraine and Israel as the states face oftentimes the same challenges. The defence, ecology and energy, health care issues were also touched upon, together with cultural and social collaboration. However, the trade and economic ties hit the highlight of the meetings, and even a near free trade agreement was discussed.
